The 36 states and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have called on members of the party to utilise the remaining 28-day window to register for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
The chairmen under the auspices of the Forum of State APC Chairmen made the call in a communique issued at the end of its inaugural meeting in Abuja on Thursday.
The state chairmen are meeting for the first time since their election and re-election during the March congresses of the APC.
Presenting the communique to journalists at a press conference, the forum’s chairman and Lagos state APC chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, congratulated the President Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the candidate of the party for the 2027 general election.
The forum sympathised with the families and victims of insecurity across the nation and commended the efforts of Presigent Tinubu in addressing the menace.
“The inaugural meeting of the Forum of State APC chairmen was convened on 11th June 2026 at Valencia Hotel, Abuja.
The meeting was attended by State Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
“After extensive deliberations on party affairs and national issues, the Forum resolved as follows: Congratulates the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on his emergence as the candidate-of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“Sympathises with the families and victims of insecurity across the nation and commends the efforts of the Presidents Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Congratulates the National Chairman and other members of the National Working Committee of our great party for the successful and peaceful conduct of the primaries. The Forum also congratulates all candidates who emerged across the 36 states and the FCT.
“Identifies with the Progressives Governors Forum for its continued support for Mr President and our dear party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“Affirms the leadership of the APC Chairmen Forum, led by Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi and Hon Aliyu Bello as acting Secretary of forum. The Forum pledges to continue working assiduously to promote the. growth of our dear party.
“Encourages all members of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), to utilise the remaining 28-day window to register for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs),” the communique reads.
