Distinguished Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi OFR, representing Osun East Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries, was screened on Saturday by a committee constituted by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The exercise paves the way for the party’s forthcoming primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued by his Head of Media and Public Enlightenment, Omole Olusegun Omo-Oshodi, in Abuja, Senator Fadahunsi commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC leadership, and the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, His Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola, for their unwavering support.

The senator reaffirmed his commitment to representing Osun East. “I am dedicated to quality representation, growth, and development for Ife/Ijesa land, while continuing to deliver the dividends of democracy to our people,” he stated.

Fadahunsi urged supporters and stakeholders to strengthen the APC across the senatorial district and Osun State. Known for his vision, capacity, humility, and passion for service, he praised the screening committee for a job well done.

“My aspiration for re-election is driven by a commitment to service, human capital development, quality education for all, infrastructure, and bolstering security in the state and nation,” he added.

Senator Fadahunsi was screened alongside Senator Olubiyi Ajagunnla and other APC aspirants. The process marks a key internal milestone for the ruling party in assessing candidates for elective positions.
