100 Level Kehinde Tanimowo aka.”Bobokay” emerges UniAbuja’s 2026 Mr. NAPS

A 100 level Kehinde Jeremiah Tanimoowo, popularly known as “Bobokay” has emerged Mr. NAPS of year 2026.

Bobokay beat other 10 contestants to emerged the winner of the competition held at the Main Campus of University of Abuja.

National Association of Physics Students (NAPS), UniAbuja branch in conjunction with the Director of Socials (DOS), Praise Benjamin (Target) organized the annual competition that hunts for young talents in the university.

Narrating the efforts he put into the contest, Tanimowo said, “the Mr. NAPS Pageantry Competition was more than just a competition; it was a platform that challenged contestants to showcase leadership, intelligence, confidence, and creativity. From the beginning, I saw it as an opportunity to grow, inspire others, and represent the values of the National Association of Physics Students (NAPS)”.

The competition consists of several stages to include; online voting, public presentations, talent displays, and personal interactions with supporters and fellow contestants.

Each stage demanded dedication, consistency, and resilience. Despite the challenges, I remained focused on giving my best and making a positive impact.

According to Bobokay, “One of the most memorable aspects of the journey was the overwhelming support I received from friends, family, colleagues, and well-wishers. Their encouragement and votes motivated me to push beyond my limits and remain determined throughout the competition.

The competition is designed to promote leadership, confidence, intelligence, creativity, and good character among students.

Bobokay further said, “This year, we were eleven contestants, and we underwent about three weeks of preparation, training, and various activities leading up to the grand finale. The competition included online voting, talent presentations, stage appearances, and other activities that tested our abilities and personality”, he said.

Bobokay noted that, “Through dedication, hard work, and the support of friends, family, and well-wishers, I emerged as the winner and was crowned Mr. NAPS”.

Mr. NAPS described the online voting in which he polled 530 as more challenging and interesting as some of the contestants got as high as 600 votes, yet Bobokay eventually won.

“In the online voting stage, I secured 530 votes, which contributed significantly to my success. Beyond the crown, the title gives me a platform to represent students, develop my leadership skills, build meaningful connections, and contribute positively to the student community”, he said.

He added that, “The experience was both challenging and rewarding, and I am grateful to God,my parents who sent me to school, my twin brother(BoboTee) and everyone who supported me throughout the journey”.

The overall best would take home a sum of $200 as a gift.
