A 100 level Taiwo Joshua Tanimoowo, popularly known as “BoboTee” has emerged Mr. AVMS for year 2026.
BoboTee beat other 7 contestants to emerged the winner of the competition held at the Main Campus of University of Abuja.
The Mr. AVMS simply means Association of Veterinary Medicine Students, a Pageantry organised in the department of Vet. Medicine of University of Abuja.
It’s a yearly event organized by the Director of Socials (DOS), Jolaoso Joshua (Josholo) and the competition is designed to promote leadership, confidence, intelligence, creativity, and good character among students.
Speaking to journalists at the end of competition, BoboTee said the Pageantry was more than just a competition; it was a platform that nurtures students into discovery of their talents early in life.
“From the beginning, I saw it as an opportunity to grow, inspire others, and represent the values of the ASSOCIATION OF VETERINARY MEDICINE STUDENTS (AVMS)”, he said.
Mr. Tanimoowo explained the efforts put into wining the contest, describing it as a rigourous one.
“This year, we were eight contestants, and we underwent about three weeks of preparation, training, and various activities leading up to the grand finale. The competition included online voting, talent presentations, stage appearances, and other activities that tested our abilities and personality”
The competition consisted of several stages, including online voting, public presentations, talent displays, and personal interactions with supporters and fellow contestants.

Each stage demanded dedication, consistency, and resilience.
Mr. AVMS said, “Despite the challenges, I remained focused on giving my best and making a positive impact”.
“One of the most memorable aspects of the journey was the overwhelming support I received from friends, family, colleagues, and well-wishers. Their encouragement and votes motivated me to push beyond my limits and remain determined throughout the competition”, Mr. AVMS recounted his experience.
He said, “Through dedication, hard work, and the support of friends, family, and well-wishers, I emerged as the winner and was crowned Mr. AVMS
In the online voting stage, I secured 330 votes, which contributed significantly to my success. Beyond the crown, the title gives me a platform to represent students, develop my leadership skills, build meaningful connections, and contribute positively to the student community”.

Mr. Tanimoowo said, “The experience was both challenging and rewarding, and I am grateful to God and everyone who supported me throughout the journey”.
In his statement “My Journey to Becoming Mr. AVMS”, BoboTee expressed appreciation to friends, organisers of the event, his lectures, Dad and Mum (Mr. and Mrs Tanimoowo) and his twin brother Bobokay for their unflinching support toward wining the contest.
