The Executive Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Hon. Kasim Mohammed, has won in the Appeal Court following his recent victory at the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Area Councils.
Kasim’s close contender at the polls has been challenging the election victory in courts.
At the end of the ruling in Abuja, Gwagwalada Chairman extended an olive branch to his opponents following his victory at the Court of Appeal.
Hon. Kasim Mohammed called on all political stakeholders to put the legal contest behind them and join hands in the collective task of developing Gwagwalada Area Council for all.
He noted that both the election and subsequent legal proceedings were over, and it was time to focused on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
He reaffirmed that his administration remains committed to inclusive governance, peace, unity, and sustainable development, assuring residents that everyone, regardless of political affiliation, has a place in building a better Gwagwalada.
According to him, “There is no victor and no vanquished, the real victory belongs to the people of Gwagwalada, and together we must work to move our council forward.”
