President Bola Tinubu has picked Interest and Nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress, APC to recontest the 2027 general elections as presidential aspirant in the primary polls of the party.
Member representing Ikeja Constituency in Federal House of Representatives, Hon. James Faleke who bought the forms on President’s behalf said he did not only buy forms for Tinubu, but for Deputy governor of Lagos, Obafemi Hazmat who has been endorsed to run as the state governor next year.
Other aspirants from across the Federation who wish to contest under the banner of APC, upon presenting their bank tellers were instantly issued forms for House of Representatives, Governors as well as Presidential positions.
Sales of forms closes on 2nd May and last date for submittion of forms is 4th of May.
With the revised timetable of the APC, legislative primary polls holds on 20th, governorship primary will now hold on 21st of May and Presidential Poll to chose a candidate is slated for 23rd of May this year.
Presidential interest and nomination forms were pegged at N 100, 000000 (One hundred million naira), governorship fifty million naira and Legislative ranges from 20 to five million naira.
