The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 General Elections.
This is contained in the revised schedule of activities signed by the Party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu. The revision includes changes to timelines for, among others, screening, appeals, and primary elections, as well as directives on the sale of forms and the Party’s bank accounts approved to receive all payments relating to the purchase of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms.
Sales of forms closes on 2nd May and last date for submittion of forms is 4th of May.
With the revised timetable, governorship primary will now hold on 23rd of May and Presidential Poll to chose a candidate is slated for 25th of May this year.
In a Press Conference held at the party’s National Secretariat last week, Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Duro Meseko told journalists that the party would not print single nomination form for either Presidential or Governorship candidates in the coming primary elections.
Adding that every party members who are eligible to contest State House of Assembly, National Assembly, Governorship and Presidential positions are free to buy interest and nomination forms from party’s headquarters in Abuja.
But to the chagrin of aspirants who stormed the APC National headquarters on Monday morning, forms were not available neither was there bank account details to pay into for the purchase of forms. They left the party office disappointed, only for the details to be released in the evening of Monday.
Presidential interest and nomination forms were pegged at N 100, 000000 (One hundred million naira), governorship fifty million naira and Legislative ranges from 20 to five million naira.
